Knots and natural wood marking will appear...this is not a flaw, but rather the promise that your rustic home décor will feature unique designs and intricacies. All of our DIY kits are laser cut, which can result in that little big of char & "campfire smell" that comes from burning wood. This smell will naturally go away after your piece has been exposed to the air. We hope you love your piece as much as we did making it!
